So today we are showing you how to make this Black Chickpea Salad (Garbanzo Bean Salad) with your fresh or leftover chickpeas into a very healthy salad. It is very popular street food in Bengal and all-around in India. Black Chickpea Salad is absolutely vegan and gluten-free. It is very easy to make a salad with just the home ingredients. Black Chickpea salad is a kind of tangy, crunchy and spicy all in one at the same time, and yes obviously full of healthy nutrients like fibres, proteins, vitamins and minerals. Raw fresh vegetables and light spices, give it a wonderful flavor.
For Black chickpea Salad, Black Chickpeas are soaked for overnight and then it is pressure cooked for making it tender. It is made with onion, tomatoes, boiled potatoes, green chilies, fresh coriander leaves, season with flavourful spices like cumin powder, black pepper powder, paprika powder, the secret ingredient, “Chaat Masala” and finally lemon Juice i.e. vitamin C booster. You can also serve it with any kind of dips such as hummus or tahini or even green chutney. It can be served as a side dish or can be a breakfast item or an evening meal for your family or guest.
