Ragi thattai
Ingredients required:
1. ragi flour- 100gms
2.rice flour-25gms
3.urad dal powder-25gms
4.cumin seeds-1/4tsp
5.Asafoetida powder-1/4tsp
6.sesame seeds-1/4tsp
7.red chilly-3 to 4
8.garlic-5 to 6
9.bengal gram-1/4cup
10.salt.
Take 100gms of ragi flour and add rice flour. Dry roast urad dal until it turns golden brown and grind it . Sieve the urad dal powder and add it to the mixture. Then add cumin powder, asafoetida powder, bengal gram, sesame seeds and grinded red chilly and garlic. Add 1/4cup water and make it into soft dough. Now make it into medium size balls.
Now take 1 sheet and apply some oil and make thattai. Spread it evenly using small cup or base.
Now put it in the oil and fry it for 5 to 7 minutes. Take thattai when the bubbles seen in the oil got minimized.
you can also add some fresh,chopped curry leaves to the dough and make the thattai.
Now the healthy and crispy Ragi Thattai
is ready to serve.
