Looking for a high protein and fiber snacking option? Look no further. Roasted chickpeas with your choice of flavor is a great option to replace unhealthy snacking.
Ingredients:
-Raw Chickpeas – 1/2 cup
-Olive Oil – 1 tablespoon
– Peri Peri Masala – 2 teaspoons
(I have not added salt since my peri peri mix already had salt
in it. Feel free to add your own flavors like mint powder,
curry leaves powder, onion & garlic powder, ranch mix, cheese
powder & so on)
-Roast Time – 15 minutes at 390F in the airfryer. Keep shaking
in between.
Method:
-Wash raw chickpeas at-least 2 to
3 times and soak them in
clean water for 8 hours or
overnight
-Drain water and make sure
the chickpeas are completely dry.
Wipe them with paper towel
to remove any extra moisture.
-Shift them to a large bowl.
Then add olive oil and peri
peri mix or any flavor of choice.
Mix well.
-Shift chickpeas to the air fryer
basket. Make sure they are lined
in a single layer for uniform
roasting.
-Roast them at 390C for 15
minutes. Keep shaking every 5
minutes. Experiment with time as
every air fryer is different.
-Healthy tea time or mid-day
snack is ready. Very rich in protein, iron and fiber.
Also keeps you full for longer.
