EASY Birdie Bread Recipes For ALL Parrots

From budgies to macaws, this recipe is for all types of parrots except nectar-eating birds like the lory or lorikeet.

My birdie bread blends come in two flavors:
🍠 Comet’s Concoction (sweet potato and turmeric)
🍇 Bubba’s Blend (blueberry)

The recipe is super simple with these, you only need:
🥣 1 beaten egg
🥣 1 tsp baking powder
🥣 1 tsp baking soda
🥣 2/3 cup-1 cup of applesauce (depending on the texture you desire and if you use store-bought or homemade)
🥣 1 cup of either of our birdie bread blends!

Mix the dry ingredients together, mix the wet ingredients together then combine! Make a loaf (requires more cook time) or muffins (less cook time depending on the size) but approx. is bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes.

Let cool before serving.

Bird bread is great for HIDING healthy foods to entice the PICKIEST of eaters, as well as add variety to birds already eating a healthy diet… they’re also great to have on hand as treats, snacks or to use as a meal when you don’t have time to prep something fresh.

Always use organic ingredients when possible and make sure you’re not giving bird bread as a sole diet as it is higher in fat than we prefer pet parrots see on a daily basis but is a great tool for healthy food conversion!
