This simple, healthy homemade sandwich spread recipe with yoghurt is a great accompaniment for grilled meat.

All Recipes:

Ingredients for yoghurt spread:
1/4 cup hung yoghurt
2 tablespoon grated carrot
2 tablespoon grated cucumber
2 tablespoon chopped spring onion
Salt to taste
Brown bread

Ingredients for mint spread:
1/4 cup mint
1/4 cup coriander
1 green chilli
1 teaspoon ginger
1teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1//4 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
Water
Toasted bread

Yoghurt Spread:
1. Line the strainer with a kitchen towel or with a muslin cloth.
2. Pour the yoghurt and tie the muslin cloth tightly.
3. Place a heavy bowl or lid on the tied muslin.
4. Let the yoghurt drain for 3 to 4 hours to make a thick, creamy, textured, hung yoghurt.
5. In a small bowl, add the hung yoghurt, carrot, cucumber, spring onion and salt.
6. Mix well and keep that aside; now toast the bread, and apply the spread.

Mint spread:
1. Add mint, coriander, chilli, ginger, salt, brown sugar, garam masala, lemon juice, and water in a blender.
2. Blend into a smooth paste, now toast the bread and apply the spread.
