I’m been really enjoying refried beans lately so I thought a video dedicated to a few recipes would be really helpful! Hopefully your pantry is stocked up on refried beans so you can make these meals this week for you and your family!

2 ingredient bean burgers:
16 oz refried beans + 1 cup mashed potato flakes
if you are using a can of beans, drain but DON’T rinse your beans, add to a bowl and add 1 1/2 cups of mashed potato flakes and bring together with a fork!

Cheese sauce recipe:
-3lb russet potatoes (peeled) or 3lb yukon (unpeeled)
-4 medium carrots (peeled)
-2 cloves garlic (peeled)
*chop these, add to a pot of boiling water with a ton of salt and cook until soft
*add your cooked roots + the water in the pot (or about 3 cups of the starchy water) to a blender
Seasonings I used:::
-turmeric
-garlic
-onion powder
-parsley
-paprika
-sea salt
-nutritional yeast

hey hey what hey hey what’s up welcome
back to my kitchen today I’m going to
share with you some awesome recipes
using refried beans this first recipe is
probably the most popular recipe I’ve
ever made here on my channel and I keep
remaking it in different ways I think
today’s is the best that I’m absolutely
ever going to make this I’m super
excited to share this with you because
it’s going to be perfect for your summer
meals for your summer barbecues and I’m
going to give you a lot of different
ways how to make this two ingredient
amazing dish that you’re going to want
on repeat all summer long before we get
started give this video hug a thumbs up

into the recipes as we’re going
throughout today’s video I’m going to
give you different ideas for each recipe
if you want to use different ingredients
but starting out with this two
ingredient reff fried bean burger we
have been loving these I have made these
so many different times on my channel I
started making them with black beans and
you just use black beans and mashed
potato flakes that’s it I’ve had people
leave me comments and say I think I
added too much water no you don’t add
water you just use ends up being one can
or 16 oz of beans to one cup of potato
flakes I find that the bag ones just
work really really well so that’s what
we’ve been using if you eat a non-dairy
or a plant-based diet you can use the
regular box mashed potatoes that’s
normally what I would buy especially on
a budget cuz they’re so cheap but these
were on sale for like 50 cents a bag the
last time I bought them at wico and I
was like you know what this is the
perfect amount to throw with a can or in
my case here a bag of refried beans
which ends up being 16 o you mix it
together and this is your base you can
add anything you want to it you can add
cooked onions mushrooms chilies salsa
corn black beans whatever you want to
that you can add it you don’t add water
that is your basee anyways you can throw
these on The Griddle you can throw them
on the stove top you can throw them on
your grill outside if you have a black
stone throw it on that you cook them for
about 4 minutes each side you’re going
to cook them on about a medium to low
heat because you want them to cook all
the way through I like mine really
crunchy on the outside I do use cooking
spray with this pan because it’s super
old even though it’s technically
nonstick I have to use something with it
otherwise everything will stick and um a
little Frugal sometimes I don’t buy the
essential things that I need and I
didn’t use my stainless steel pan this
day cuz I didn’t feel like waiting for
it to heat up so anyways I cook these
inside really quick let me know down

super simple Grill ideas but these
burgers are so good we recently made
them with reff fried beans and the
mashed potato flakes and I think that’s
my favorite way to make them just
because I don’t have have to mash the
can of beans but if you use whole beans
it’s a cup and a half of cooked beans or
one can you mash them you put the potato
flakes in Ving vom they’re perfect but
we made them as like a taco inspired one
a few nights ago we used mild taco sauce
we put some sour cream in it had it with
lettuce did some jalapenos oh it was so
good you can literally do anything you
want to these they are so much easier
and cheaper than buying like a
vegetarian burger in the store this day
I decided I wanted some crispy lettuce
because lettuce has a clutch on me right
now has for months as I’ve been sharing
my pregnancy Journey did some spicy
mustard some relish so good if I had
some tomato and red onion I would slap
that on here too no I’m not doing low
carb I just really wanted that
crunchiness of the lettuce it would it
tastes really good on a burger really
good in a tortilla if you want to make
this into like a Crunch Wrap I mean
there’s a bunch of different ways you
can make this but let’s make this a
little bit prettier here and then show
it off two ingredients like I said a cup
and a half or 16 18 oz of beans and 1
cup of mashed potato flakes it’s the
perfect recipe you can add anything you
want to it highly recommend making them
you can throw them in the freezer if you
want to make them ahead of time you can
make a whole bunch I highly recommend
making a whole bunch because you’re
going to want to eat these all and
you’re going to want them in the
refrigerator so that way you have more
on hand for leftovers starting up next
with cheesy lasagna roll-ups make sure
you check the description box for the
cheese sauce recipe super simple
technically three ingredients even
though the cheese sauce you have to make
ahead of time but you can do anything
you want you want to do red sauce you
want to do queso they’re so good with
red sauce I think that’s my favorite way
to have them but all you’re going to use
is lasagna noodles I use gluten-free in
this particular clip but you can use
regular ones I’ve been able to eat like
non-g glutenfree noodles just regular
noodles throughout pregnancy so use
whatever you want you cook them but you
you like parboil them or whatever it’s
called so they’re just like cooked
enough then you stuff them with reff
fried beans and then you top them with
either a cheese sauce a queso a red
sauce chunky Tomatoes oh my word again
something you can really mix up if you
want to add different elements in here
we’ve done these with black beans and
corn and tomatoes done it with black
beans and salsa I’ve done it with reff
fried beans and onions Peppers mushrooms
there’s so many different ways you can
play this and it’s so good and super
easy to make head I recommend making a
huge pan of these like a 9 by3 or even
go bigger than that and have these on
hand hand again it can be a great meal
that you can throw in the freezer if you
want to just like this you just pop them
in then into the freezer cover it and
then you don’t bake it until obviously
until you’re ready to eat it but I throw
it in the oven just for a few minutes to
kind of warm up the beans and the cheese
oh my gosh if you haven’t made this one
I think this is probably the second most
popular recipe I’ve ever put on my
channel every time I share this recipe I
get tons of comments of people saying oh
my gosh that looks so good or they tell
me they tried it for the first time and
they love it another Super popular
recipe that I wanted to share again it’s
too ingredients but you can spice this
up any way you want you’re going to use
refried beans and a uh flour tortilla if
you want to go gluten-free use a corn
tortilla add salsa to the top of this or
barbecue sauce you have the simplest
meal ever and it’s so good also adding
like peppers and onions to the inside
just elevates this but again I try to
share the most simple ingredients and
then to kind of get your mind going and
add you know hey you can add anything
you want so this is kind of like a
quesadilla that’s what I call it I don’t
know if a quesadilla is supposed to have
cheese or not but that’s how I like it
and honestly I have this all the time
for lunch just quick and easy I have
some leftover reffed beans in the fridge
no I don’t always use the ones in a bag
but they were super convenient they were
super cheap so I bought a whole bunch of
them like 2 months ago and I’ve just
been using them a lot of times I will
make my own refried beans which I can
leave a recipe down in the description
box and another video I’ll add to this
so you can check it out is an entire
video using pinto beans so you can kind
of go from reff fried beans to pinto
beans get you lots of ideas but serve
this just like you would a quesadilla
you can add tons of different elements
to the inside honestly I have it all the
time with just salsa or barbecue sauce
sauce on the side just like this it’s so
delicious never count out the most
simple meals that take 2 seconds to make
have a couple ingredients they’re so
good and I highly recommend making this

amazing again you can make it ahead you
can throw it in the freezer I’m always
giving you freezer meal ideas because I
always say this if you’re making one
meal you might as well make and throw it
in your freezer and then you have a
backup for later when you’re super busy
or when you just need to give a meal to
a friend you have a backup but let me

beans I love spicy refried beans but
pregnancy and heartburn you know you
kind of got to lay off the spicy food a
little bit so that’s why I did barbecue
sauce this day like I said I’ve been
having this for lunch a lot the last
recipe I shared recently but it’s so
delicious and people keep commenting
saying like wow I didn’t think to add
refried beans with canned tomato sauce
or or tomato sauce in general it makes
the thickest most delicious pasta and
know you don’t really notice the refried
beans it gives the tomato sauce such a
creamy thickness and adds nice elements
of protein I’m going to try to do this
with my little when uh you know they
grow up and become picky eaters and
we’ll see how it goes in the next few
years but I think this is such an
amazing recipe again you can change it
up you can add green peppers you can add
olives mushrooms whatever you want just
like you’re making a
pasta dish that you want to add whatever
you want to your red sauce this day I
did olives and made it very very basic
added some cheese sauce on the top and I
did make two dishes here so then I could
throw one in the freezer for later
because again if you’re making one dish
you might as well double it and make two
again super simple ingredients but you
can mix up any way you want you could
also make this more Taco inspired if you
want to do salsa instead of the red
sauce with the reff fried beans add some
onions some um like red onions Peppers
chilies whatever you want to it and
again you could also do this with black
beans but I just feel like refried beans
are way creamier so that’s what I prefer
to use I love using the same ingredients
over and over and over and over in
different ways in my kitchen I think
it’s so fun and also helps from food
feeling blah stale monotonous but if I
can use a refried bean 10 different ways
I’m going to do it I mean I’m really
going to do it like 20 different ways
but I’m going to find ways to add
protein always into my meals even if
it’s just beans I’m going to always find
a way to use pasta and rice and potatoes
and red sauce and all the things and I’m
just going to kind of mix it up and I

actually you know what I think this day
I did add taco seasoning to this I
totally forgot it amped up the element
so much
I mean really you can add any seasoning
you want but I’m pretty sure this was
taco seasoning this day yes and look how
thick and rich and creamy this is so
delicious and again you can add sour
cream to the top lettuce to the top when
it’s done I love adding like a taco
inspired topping to any of my pastas
right now it’s really really good but
again if you want to switch out the red
sauce for a salsa you could do that and
have a ton more flavor you’re just going
to cook off your pasta like you normally
would add a little salt to the water and
if you are making just a freezer meal I
would only boil my pasta for 6 minutes
instead of the traditional seven I kind
of knock it down one if I’ve never
mentioned that before in a video and if
I’m going to bake my pasta as long as
it’s got enough sauce it’s going to
continue to bake especially with
gluten-free pasta I will underbake that
all the time especially if I’m going to
reheat it bake it or freeze it because
otherwise it gets real sticky you know
and it’s like seems overcooked but if
you rinse it you’re supposed to stop the
cooking process it doesn’t always it
doesn’t always so you got to like
undercook it a lot so I will do that
with my regular pasta as well but I just
went ahead and threw that into the sauce
mix the Saucier the pasta the better
went ahead made two pans of this like I
said topped it with some cheese baked
one in the oven 350° I think for like 20
25 minutes you can boil or excuse me
broil the top to make the cheese really
crispy if you want to it’s really hard
for me not to just eat out of the bowl
when I am making these videos cuz they
look so delicious and usually I’m making
these things and it’s going to be my
lunch so like I have to hold off when
I’m making the videos but I mean hey
serve this with some garlic bread ooh
it’s so good
