Drumstick or Moringa, an important vegetable in Indian cooking has every part of it being beneficial for health and wellness. A super plant whose seeds, flowers, leaves and stem are edible and extremely nutritious with powerful properties that combat different ailments in our system
A simple and delicious Indian soup recipe rich in iron and amazingly tasty for a healthy life
Ingredients
Drumstick 3 no
Potato 1 no
Onion 1 no
Tomato 2 no
Green chilli 2 no
Ginger 1/2 inch
Oil 1 tsp
Butter 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Method
Heat oil and butter in a pressure pan
Add ginger, onion, tomato, potato, drumstick and saute
Add green chilli, salt and mix well
Add water or vegetable stock, close the lid and pressure cook
Remove the cooked drumstick from the pan and scoop out the pulp
In a blender, add the scooped out drumstick pulp, some stock from the pan and blend it into a fine paste
Strain it, add salt, pepper and boil it for few minutes
Garnish with some finely chopped coriander and serve
