We all know about the goodness of daliya or broken wheat. It’s a very healthy meal for all age groups for the senior citizens, for kids, for the youngster and for the health conscious people. Those who have any health issues or those who are health conscious they can’t enjoy payesh or kheer as they avoid rice and sugar. Rice is high in starch and carbohydrates. Sugar have calories. Health conscious people can’t enjoy dessert. So today I prepared a very healthy, delicious and low fat dessert recipe that is daliyar payesh or daliya kheer with date palm jaggery, it’s a very delicious and flavourful jaggery. In this kheer or rice pudding recipe I used broken wheat or daliya instead of rice and date palm jaggery instead of sugar. Ingredients :-
1. Pure ghee / Clarified butter – 2 heaped tablespoon (total)
2. Chopped cashew nuts – 6
3. Washed raisins – 1 heaped tablespoon
4. Daliya / broken wheat – 1 cup (measuring 1 tea cup)
5. Amul taza tonned milk / cow’s milk – 700 to 800 ml
6. Date palm jaggery / khejur gur – 1 cup or as per your taste
