In this video we will be baking and showing how to make a banana bread recipe. This is a healthy recipe and can be even healthier by substituting the sugar for applesauce. We show you step by step how to make a homemade buttermilk banana bread recipe. You can eat it for lunch, breakfast, or even dessert.
Below are the ingredients for how to make this meal:

Prep & Cook Time 80-90 Minutes
2 Cups White Whole Wheat Flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1 large egg
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar + 1/8 cup
½ cup canola oil
2 tablespoons of buttermilk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
3 ripe medium-large bananas (mashed)
½ cup + ½ cup of chopped walnuts
Serves 8-10 Slices
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour pan
Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Put aside
Mix the egg, sugar and canola oil until smooth. Add the flour slowly to the mixture. Once all combined add buttermilk, vanilla and mashed bananas. Mix well
Fold in ½ cup of walnuts. Pour batter in loaf pan add the remaining walnuts.
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes. Enjoy
