With everyone having limited ingredients in this lockdown and hungry munchkins to feed at home, this is d perfect versatile recipe to try which can serve both as a snack or maincourse!

*******************

Recipe (will make approximately 20-24 appa) –

1 cup curd
1 cup semolina/suji
Salt to taste
Ghee for toasting
Green chillies, finely chopped (optional)

Additives (optional)- Finely chopped veggies (beans, carrots, cauliflower) 1/4th cup

And/or

Chopped nuts (cashew, flax seeds, walnuts) 1/4th cup

Method-
1. Mix curd n semolina/suji with salt n mix well, let rest overnight or for half an hour in a closed lid container
2. Add the nuts and/or veggies to the mix and mix well, you might need to add in some water to make a paste.

3. Add 2 pinches of baking powder and mix well.

4. Heat the Appe pan and add a few drops of ghee in each mould. Put a spoonful of mixture in each mould on a low flame and close the lid.

5. Let cook for a few minutes, till golden brown,flip and cook on the other side for few mintues.

6. Open the lid, take out the Appe on a plate n enjoy ❤
