*WHOLE WHEAT BREAD*

*INGREDIENTS*

• Lukewarm water – 2 cups
• Sugar – 2 tbsp
• Active yeast – 2 tsp
• Whole wheat flour (with bran) – 3 cups
• Salt – 1 tsp

*PREPARATION METHOD*

– In a bowl of warm water, add the sugar and yeast and mix well. Set it aside to get activated.
– In a separate large bowl, add the wheat flour, salt and mix. Add-in the yeast mixture gradually and mix together.
– Knead the dough for 5 minutes till soft.
– Set it aside for an hour to rise. It should double in size.
– Knead it again for 2 more minutes. Fold and knead as shown.
– Form a cylindrical shape from the dough and place it in a greased or lined bread loaf pan. If you don’t have one, you can shape one out of aluminium foil. Make sure it is thick.
– Cover and set it aside for half an hour more to rise again.
– Preheat oven to 180°C or 350°F. Place the baking pan on a baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes.
– Once baked, spread some butter on top and let it cool for 1-2 hours.
– Slice the bread using a sharp serrated knife.
