Vegan MEXICAN FOOD Recipes | What’s For DINNER Meal Ideas 2020
Welcome to a week of what’s for Dinner! I’m sharing 5 meals that I cooked hoping that it will give you some inspiration and ideas. These recipes are vegan but can be modified to your liking and to fit your diet. I’m sharing some true mexican meals like potato flautas (crispy taquitos), refried beans with chile de molcajete and gluten milanesas with spanish rice. Also a more tex-mex meal of taco salad (also known as hay stacks) and even a homeade Pizza even thogh it’s not really mexican food haha.
Vegan Cheese Sauce Recipe:
1 cup water
1 tsp Paprika
2 Tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp oil
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/3 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1 1/2 Tbsp Lime juice (1 lime)
-Combine all the ingredients in a blender and then pour into a sauce pan on medium heat. Stir constantly until the sauce thickens and begins to simmer.
Homeade Pizza Dough Recipe (In this video I made a double recipe)
1 Package of rapid yeast
1 tsp Sugar
1 Cup hot water
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp oil
combine the yeast and sugar. Add hot water and wisk. Leave 5-10 minutes or until smooth and foamy on top. Add in flour, salt and oil. Once the ingredients are combined let it set for 5 minutes. Then sprinkle your surface with flour and begin to kneed until smooth and not sticky adding extra flour as needed. Cover and leave to set 5 more minutes. Roll out to desired size and place on oiled pan. Cover and leave to rise 30 minutes or more until desired height. Preheat oven to 415°F. Add sauce and desired toppings to the pizza and bake 15-20 minutes or until golden.
