Healthy Brownie Recipe – A Chocolate Brownie with a Twist!

Today we’re going to make healthy brownies.

This is not like your average fudge brownie recipe because it’s just loaded with nutrients, flavor, and amazing goodness.

I call this healthy brownie recipe “Surprise Brownie”, which you can find on page 228 of my Healthy Treasures Cookbook (do check it out!)

This amazing healthy brownie is protein-packed, fiber-rich, and all-natural!

It’s also so quick and easy to make – and you can even turn it into a gluten free brownie recipe!

Here are the ingredients for this healthy brownie recipe with protein!

“Surprise Brownies”

1 3/4 cup pastry flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups shredded zucchini
1 cup shredded carrots
1 egg
1 cup sucanat or organic sugar
1/2 cup yogurt
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup applesauce

Optional: chocolate chips and chopped nuts

So if you want a wholesome treat, a nutritious dessert for your family, or you just want to give in to your sweet tooth without the guilt, this healthy brownie recipe fits perfectly into all those!
