Homemade Bread is very easy to prepare with very simple ingredients and no added preservatives and colour.
Once you start baking your bread at home you won’t like the store bought breads.
Ingredients:
3 cups bread flour/ wheat flour / all purpose flour. ( I have used bread flour in this recipe)
1 cup warm milk
2tsp sugar
1tsp salt
1/2 tsp instant yeast
2tsp olive oil( you can use any non fragrant oil of your choice)
2-3 tsp of raw seeds ( I have used 7 seeds). It has sunflower seed, pumpkin seed, sesame seed, flax seed, chia seed and Rye
Add sugar, salt and yeast into warm milk. Allow it to rest for 3 minutes till the yeast activates.
Add bread flour and oil into it and mix it to prepare a dough.
Knead the dough with your hand for 10-15 mins till it becomes light and soft.
Allow the dough to rest for atleast 1 hour in a warm place or till the dough doubles in size( the best warm place in the kitchen is inside microwave). This process is known as proofing of dough.( 1st proofing)
Take out the dough, knead once again, roll it ( I sprinkled some multigrain seeds into it to make it little more healthier) and tuck it in the well greased bread box lined with parchment paper and allow it to rest for another 45 mins. This is called 2nd proofing of dough.
After 2nd proofing, bake the dough into the oven for 45 mins that is preheated at 180•c for 15 mins.
After baking, take out the bread from the bread baking box , apply some butter over and allow it to cool on the wire rack.
Cut the bread slices and enjoy it fresh with butter, jam or simply toasted.
You can store this homemade bread for atleast 4-5 days in the refrigerator.
