JHAL MURI RECIPE : THE HEALTHY WAY | HOW TO MAKE JHALMURI AT HOME | QUICK & EASY HEALTHY SNACKS
*SERVES 4-5
INGREDIENTS:
1. 4 HANFUL OF PUFFED RICE
2. 1 HANDFUL OF ROAST GRAM/CHANA
3. 1 HANDFUL OF PEANUTS
4. 1 SMALL ONION
5. 1 SMALL TOMATO
6. 1/2 OF A MEDIUM-SIZED BOILED POTATO
7. 1 SMALL BOILED SWEET POTATO
8. 1 GREEN CHILLI
9. 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER
10. 3/4 TSP BLACK SALT
11. 1/2 TSP CUMIN POWDER
12. 1/2 TSP HIMALAYAN SALT
13. 2 TSP KACHI GHANI MUSTARD OIL
14. FRESH CORIANDER
15. CHAAT MASALA
16. JUICE OF 1 BIG LEMON
RECIPE:
1. SLIGHTLY ROAST PUFFED RICE, GRAM, PEANUTS
2. IN A BOWL ADD THE REST OF THE INGREDIENTS AND MIX
3. ADD THE ROASTED PUFFED RICE, GRAM, PEANUTS AND MIX WELL
Jhal Muri or masala muri recipe: Jhal muri is a healthy street food/chaat made in India(origin in Bengal) with puffed rice, boiled potato, chopped fresh onion, tomatoes, green chillies, peanuts etc. All of this is seasoned with spices, generous sprinkling of pungent mustard oil and black salt.
This is a perfect tea-time snack and keeps you full for long. I have avoided adding any namkeens but you may do so according to your preference. Also, i have tried to make it as healthy as possible, though there’s always scope to make it even healthier by adding cucumbers, sprouts, etc.
