A healthy dinner recipe – Brown Rice with Honey Garlic Shrimp and Vegetable Stir Fry.
Directions to cook brown rice:
Ingredients:
Brown Rice – 1 cup
Water – 2 cups
Salt to taste
Directions:
1. Wash and clean the brown rice and keep it aside.
2. Take a saucepan and add 2 cups of water. Bring to boil.
3. Once its starting to boil, add the brown rice to the saucepan and lower the flame. Cover and cook it.
4. Cook until all the water is drained. Keep the flame very low.
Honey Garlic Shrimp Recipe:

Ingredients:
•Shrimp – 500gm
•Garlic – 1 big or 2 small
•Ginger – 1/2 inch size
•Vinegar -2-3 tbsp
•Soy Sauce – 2-3 tbsp
•Chili Sauce – Hot Sauce 2 – 3tsp
•Honey 2-3 tbsp
•Olive Oil
•Onion – 1
•Dry Red Chili – 1-2
•Spring Onion – 1
•Sesame Seeds – 1 tsp
•Salt – to taste
Directions:
1.Clean 500 grams of shrimp keep it aside.
2.Crush ginger and garlic to make a paste.
3.Add Vinegar, chili sauce (hot sauce), soy sauce and honey to ginger garlic paste.
4.Mix these ingredients together to make a sauce.(if you like add any of these sauce more that’s fine). But don’t put too much ginger. Put little to no salt since we are already adding soy sauce – you don’t need to put additional salt to it.
5.Marinate shrimp with this sauce mixture and rest for 20 to 30 mins.
6.Chop the onions into small square pieces.
7.Heat the pan and add olive oil. Next put the marinated shrimp on to the pan. You can fry each side for two minutes. If you have any leftover sauce mixture, you can add to the pan and mix well with the shrimp. Sauté for 5 mins.
8.Take the fried shrimp out of the pan and keep it aside.
9.Take another pan, pour olive oil, and add the red chili. Once you fry the red chili, add chopped onion and sauté for 5-7 mins. Don’t fry the onion too much. Add the fried shrimp to it and sauté for 5 mins and Honey garlic shrimp is ready.
After that, place the honey garlic shrimp to a serving bowl and garnish with sesame seed and chopped spring onion or green onion.
You can enjoy honey garlic shrimp with white rice or brown rice with sauteed vegetables.
Vegetable Stir Fry:
Ingredients:
Broccoli
Mushrooms
Salt to taste
Olive Oil
Instructions:
1. Clean and cut the mushrooms and broccoli separately.
2. Heat broccoli in microwave for 5 mins.
3. Heat a pan, add some olive oil, and add broccoli and little bit salt. Sauté for 5 mins and place to the serving bowl.
4. Take the pan and add little bit olive oil and add chopped mushrooms and little bit salt. Sautee for 5 mins. If it has more water, drain all of it and stir fry. Place to serving bowl.
You can enjoy brown rice with honey garlic shrimp and stir fry vegetables.
