Good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. Combined with physical activity, your diet can help you to reach and maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease and cancer), and promote your overall health.Food is what gives you energy.

Lunch is an important meal of a day. Eating lunch is important. Eating a healthy lunch is even more so. So, we will talk about lunch now.

When we eat healthy lunch, we re-fuel our bodies with the nutrients to get energy for the rest of the day. In fact, in establishments, employees who enjoy a healthy meal for lunch are 150% more productive and are 46% more focused throughout the afternoon. Your meal planning depend on your schedule. Basically, you must eat something at the interval of 2-3 hours. So, for example, you might have breakfast at 6 am, snack at 9 am, lunch at 12 pm, snack at 3 pm, dinner at 6 pm and maybe snack at 9 pm, depending on your schedule.

Best time to have lunch? It’s better to get stuck into your lunch sooner rather than later between 12.30 pm and 1pm, with 12.45 pm the best time. And when it comes to dinner, the later you have it, the worst it may affect on your body – the optimum time for dinner is between 6 pm and 6.30 pm, 6.15 pm preferably.

What should be eaten between breakfast and lunch? Eating a snack between meals helps curb your hunger. One can have Almonds, Grapefruit, Roasted Chickpeas.Black Grapes, Dark Chocolates, Yogurt.

What should one eat in Lunch? In my opinion – Complex Carbohydrates, Whole-grain bread, whole-grain pasta, brown rice, sweet potatoes, Protein, Salmon, chicken, tuna, nuts, tofu, beans, turkey, lean beef, eggs, Low fat Dairy Products, Just because you don’t like milk doesn’t mean you have to skip your dairy intake & Assorted Fruits.

If you start the day early, don’t eat your lunch at 2 pm or 3 pm – it is too late, as we burn more calories and generally we burn more energy between 8am-6p m. Generally you feel hungry after 3-4 hours of your first meal which means that most of us get benefit from an early lunch. For anyone who eats their first meal before 7am, exercises regularly and is relatively fit and healthy, three meals a day will not be enough. So if your body needs to eat at 11am, one option is to simply eat two small lunch — one late morning and then one early afternoon.

Dieters have long been told not to eat too many calories late in the day. Now, a new study suggests that dieters who eat lunch early lose more weight than those who eat a late lunch. Here’s a look at the super-healthy meal:

What will happen if you don’t eat lunch? Your body will begin to slow or even shut down activities that aren’t necessary, as a way to save energy. This means that your metabolism and digestion slow down. The next time you eat, your body will process your food slower. All of this means that skipping meals can too easily lead to weight gain. Fasting mode becomes more serious starvation mode. At this point, a person’s metabolism slows down, and their body begins burning muscle tissue for energy. So, for those breaking their fast after 24 hours, it is generally safe to go without eating for a day unless other health conditions are present
