Healthy Salad Dressings. Basic | Vegan Honey Mustard | Nacho Cheese
Salads served at cafes and restaurants make a place in our hearts due to flavourful dressings. While these dressings are high in calories, they do not serve the purpose of having a bowl of salad.
FFD brings you recipes for healthy dressings, basic, honey mustard, and nacho cheese!! Watch the video and learn to prepare healthy dressings.
1. Basic salad dressing
Ingredients
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
Tastemakers
Black pepper powder (as required)
Rock salt (as required)
Tip – Usage of rock salt is best for salads
Method
1. Take a glass jar/container with a lid
2. Add lemon juice to it.
3. Then add olive oil, apple cider vinegar
4. Close the lid of the jar and shake it properly to mix all the ingredients.
Basic salad dressing is ready
Variations – You can add ginger, garlic, mint, or coriander to add different kinds of taste.
Usage tip – Store it in the refrigerator. One glass full can suffice for one week. Best for office goers.
2. Honey Mustard Dressing
Ingredients
Basic salad dressing
Garlic (optional)
1-1/2 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp date paste
1 pinch stevia powder
Rock salt – as required
Method –
1. Add all the ingredients in a glass jar with a lid.
2. Close the lid and mix them properly
Tangy honey mustard dressing is ready
Note – Date paste and stevia powder are used in place of honey.
3. Nacho Cheese Dressing
Ingredients –
1/4 cup cashew cheese
1 cup boiled sweet potato (cut into small pieces)
1/2 cup boiled carrot (cut into small pieces)
1 small onion (cut into small pieces)
1 medium size tomato (cut into small pieces)
6-7 garlic pieces
Chili flakes – as required
Lemon juice
Rock salt
Tip – Cashew cheese is prepared by fermenting cashew paste overnight.
Method –
Mix all the ingredients into the grinder by adding little water. Nacho cheese dressing is ready!
