Guilt free banana bread! This healthy banana bread recipe is out of the book prevent and reverse heart disease by Dr Esselstyn MD. This recipe is dairy free and oil free and let me tell you, super delicious.

The Book: Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease:

The Recipe:
1 1/4 cups whole-wheat flour
1 cup barley or spelt flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3 small ripe OR 2 large ripe bananas
1/2 cup applesauce
1/3 cup of brown sugar
Egg replacement (1 Tbsp ground Flaxseed with hot water)
1/2 cup raisins
2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup oat, almond or non-fat soy milk
1 tbsp lemon juice
(my camera gave up on my during the two last ingredients- that’s why it’s not in the Video)

Bake for around 70 min at 180°C

Enjoy- amazing toasted with raspberry jam and a cup of black tea.
