I was asked today how I still remain motivated to continue eating raw food after almost 9 years following this diet and to be honest, it’s no longer motivation. It’s become a deep daily habit that I truly enjoy.

Motivation can get us started but it really our habits that keep us going.

It’s habit that continues on when the motivation runs out.

Habits are the most powerful and strongest behaviours we have as humans and changing them is not only the real key to consistency, but what actually gets us to where we want to be.

I haven’t had to motivate myself to choose a raw meal in many, many years. I can’t even remember the last time I needed motivation for that but that’s because habit has taken over and I just do it.

Yes the food is good. Yes I feel great. Yes it makes healthy sense…. but that’s not what ultimately keeps me choosing this over and over again. It’s just habit.

Habits are formed through repetition. I simply repeated the new habit that I wanted enough times that it became my new reality. Anyone can change habits if they really want to! It’s hard at the beginning but so worth it when they solidify!
