I have been off the salad train, but am trying to get back on. It’s a staple in a healthy diet and I feel the difference not eating in.

In order to get back on track, you all voted for a STRAWBERRY, CHICKPEA, and AVOCADO SUMMER SALAD, and I’m so here for it.

I’m eating it as I write ha!

For this recipe you will need:
✨ 1 head of Romaine Lettuce
✨ Chickpeas
✨ Strawberries
✨ Red Onion
✨ Avocado
✨ Sunflower Seeds

It truly is delicious and nourishing.

It feels refreshing and light, but protein packed on a summer’s day.

You get PROTEIN from the BEANS (CHICKPEAS/GARBANZO BEANS).

You get your LEAFY GREENS in from the ROMAINE LETTUCE.

You get some FRUIT and a sweet flavor (a helpful salad trick) from the STRAWBERRIES.

You get HEALTHY FATS in from the AVOCADO and the SUNFLOWER SEEDS if you add them in.

You get AROMATICS and CANCER AND DISEASE FIGHTING PROPERTIES from the RED ONION.
