Thank you it blows my mind that it’s so hard to find delicious plant-based sandwiches so we’re making them we’re using purely plant-based ingredients natural fruits and vegetables vibrant colors and they’re going to make these Epic Deli Style sandwiches that you can make at home have them for your summer barbecues
Have them for your lunch just enjoy these sandwiches made by plants all the ingredients I’ve used are so simple they’re all from waitrose Who currently have lower prices on so many items but we’re just using plants use the rainbow all the different colors and flavors and textures are what makes these simple
Deli style sandwiches so delicious to the bite the first thing you’re going to make for the sandwich is a sauce always have a sauce I’ve got olives and I’m just going to roughly chop these olives down to get them nice and small then I’ve got some fresh fragrant basil
Chopped off the fibrous stalks but you can save them for a recipe later give them a rough chop and then I’ve also got pine nuts but you can use any nuts garlic salt mash it down together and then pour it in a bowl then top with your olives your chopped fresh basil
Loads of extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice and give it a really good mix and this is like tepenard Meats pesto super yummy and it’s going to add so much flavor to our sandwiches then get some red bell peppers cover them lightly in olive oil and cook for about
20 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius and roast them until they are slightly charged then put them in a bowl cover that with a lid and this allows it to steam inside and this just makes it so easy to peel off the skins once they’ve cooled down then you’ve got sweet
Roasted delicious red peppers now we’re using natural ingredients use the colors use the vibrancy of the different flavors of the colors to build the sandwich so I’ve got fresh tomatoes finely slice them down I’ve got these malted beetroots from waitrose which means they’re sharp and soft but have a
Slight bite to them and add such incredible texture to sandwiches especially plant-based sandwiches then using the rainbow I’ve got some fresh spinach I’m going to roast some ciabatta in the oven until it’s nice and hot and warm crispy and soft and then I’m just gonna build the salmon to layer it up
With that pesto slash taping on roasted red peppers sliced beets Tomatoes Salt black pepper some lemon juice on top and then hummus because the hummus makes everything great then you have this incredibly delicious sandwich made with such natural plant-based ingredients I mean it’s literally got everything you
Could want in a sandwich always have a sauce any sandwich you make make sure there’s a sauce could be Mayo based tahini based pesto based tapenade paste anything to make sure you’ve got some juiciness it’s fragrant it’s crunchy it’s soft it’s crispy it’s juicy it is everything you want in a sandwich
Superior bites for the next one we’re gonna finely slice some cucumber ribbons and carrots so you can just use a peeler and peel off the outer skin and then peel the different strips and you get these really nice ribbons which have a nice crunch to them but they’re not too thick
For carrots then I’ve got some Tomatoes juicy Tomatoes I’m going to use waitrose Essentials chickpeas salt lemon juice then there’s malted beats we had earlier we’re going to throw them in there too a nice good drizzle of a good quality tahini extra virgin olive oil and blend
And this is how you get a really easy simple delicious hummus it’s also just kind of really beautiful to look at it’s smooth it’s creamy so tasty and so so easy to make then with the bread you just want to build the sandwich again so I’m going to start with a beautiful pink
Vibrant beet hummus top with your finely sliced cucumbers lemon juice salt and black pepper Tomatoes ribbons of carrots that you’re just going to place and layer on top more lemon juice because I love lemon juice and clothes and salmon and that is an incredibly easy plant-based sandwich full of textures
Flavors and fresh vibrant nutritious delicious ingredients if you enjoyed this video please give it a thumbs up and subscribe leave a comment which one is your favorite deli sandwich or tell me what one you like to make inspire me let me know in the comments thank you so much for watching bye Foreign
