Is for you if you’re in college you have a busy schedule you’re a parent you have a demanding job and you do not have time to be in the kitchen all day prepping healthy meals but you still want to stay on track then this video is absolutely
For you okay so we’re going to get straight into our meal prep this meal I’m going to show you guys is literally delicious and it’s my go-to especially when I’m being lazy and don’t want to be in the kitchen all day so it’s going to take less than an hour okay so let’s
Just hop right into the video this is the happiness that you do when you’re way too excited to meal prep but that’s besides the point so we’re going to hop right into our first meal prep we are doing a salmon and rice bowl so go ahead and screenshot this so that
Way you can take it to the store with you and get all the ingredients that you need but you need two packets of salmon this should last you about 4 to 5 days we all know we need to clean our Meat and Fish correctly so I’m using apple
Cider vinegar as a way to clean off the bacteria off of the salmon pour it in some water and let that sit for about 10 minutes and while that is sitting we’re going to get into cutting up our Vegetables now this meal pup can be totally customizable if you don’t like certain vegetables I’m using you can always switch it up to your likings if you’re not really a fan of salmon you rather have ground turkey ground beef tilapia whatever it is choose your protein it
Doesn’t have to be the exact same as when I’m cooking you have to choose what you like and what works best for you as a beginner I know how hard it is to find what works for you finding a meal prep that you enjoy but you just have to
Experiment and also stick to the basics so like I said just choose one protein that you really enjoy you can make it in so many different ways choose a vegetable that you like you can also make a vegetable medley throwing all your favorite vegetables together and popping in the oven there’s so many
Different ways you can go about meal prepping it’s about finding balance and finding things you Enjoy veggies and salmon are all nicely prepped and clean placing this in a pan and letting that hook and while that cooking we’re going to start up our brown rice everyone should know how to cook rice so we’re not really going to go in depth with my rice but I just like
To cook and all L and let it do its thing if you want to save more time in the kitchen you can replace the brown rice with a pre-cooked microwavable rice that you can make in less than 1 minute now we’re going to get into dicing up
The salmon I personally like to make my salmon like this it’s so it just tastes better like it hit different I promise you you need to try it this way like I said if you don’t like salmon you can make ground turkey the exact same way
Ground beef or you can even like dice up your tilapia or any kind of fish the same exact way so I added in all my vegetables and I’m going to get into adding on my seasoning so when it comes to seasonings please season your food okay it’s really not that serious to eat
Dry food you do not have to do that you can play around and find little sodium seasonings that you enjoy for example Le Mrs Dash has zero sodium but I do use seasonings that have sodium in it because salt is good for you you need salt in your body to have a balanced
Electrolyte level in your body listen we cannot live without salt but too much salt is bad too much of anything is bad too much salt can lead to cardiovascular issues any kind of heart disease high blood pressure stroke so it’s important to not use too much but of course we
Need salt to survive so don’t be afraid to use salt but please limit how much you Using now we’re getting into mason jar fruit medley so go ahead and screenshot this I love me a mason jar girl okay I am definitely a mason jar girly they make your fruit last so long this neack is literally so easy to make all you
Have to do is Dice it up throw it all in a mason jar and there you go it’s very simple to prep take it on to go with you to work or school and you are all Set so y’all let me put you on real quick I found this little pineapple cutter on Vu or TAMU whatever is called it makes it so much easier to cut pineapples I literally hate cutting pineapples this makes it literally so much easier all you do is twist it pop it out and look
At that it was only a couple dollars off of TAMU and it literally saves so much more time and is less messy now we’re going to get into making avocado dressing this is also super super easy to make and takes literally less than 1 minute to prep so I’m
Placing all my ingredients in a blender and voila that’s literally it I like to make my own dressings at home because I’m saving more calories I’m consuming less unnecessary fat that I really don’t need so making this at home is 10 times healthier than buying the bottle
Dressings from your local store if you don’t want to make the avocado dressing you can also just skip this part and eat the avocado ho it’s honestly a DIY type of gear with these bottle dressing it’s so many unnecessary ingredients in it that we really don’t need for our body
So why do that when you can just make it at home it’s so easy it takes less than a minute you know exactly what you’re putting in your body it’s a win-win now depending on how thick or how then you want your avocado dressing I wanted mine
On a thinner side so I use half a water bottle but if you want like a more thick consistency then just use less Water the salmon and rice is finally done cooking so I’m just showing you guys what it looks like on a nice little Clean Plate I’ll eat this for my dinner tonight and then I’m going to put the rest away in glass containers and pop it in the freezer for the rest of the Week now when it comes to measuring out your food I personally like to P my macros and measure out my food so that way I know I’m getting enough protein carbs and fat in my diet but if you’re a beginner and you’re freshly new meal
Prepping I know how hard it is to count your calories and making sure you’re getting the adequate amount of macronutrients it can be very challenging so I personally recommend you to not count your calories first start by building a healthy habit build a good relationship with food first get
The hang up portioning your meals and eating until you are satisfied when you got that down and you feel confident with meal prepping then you can start counting your calories take it one step at a time last healthy snack we are making for meal prep is Veggie and tuna
Dip this is so easy to make extremely high in protein and is delicious so I got all my ingredients I use about six tuna packets just to make three of these tuna bowls at once just because the tuna can get bad so each serving will have
Two packets of tuna I am putting that in a bowl and I am mixing it with non-fat plain Greek yogurt I found this recipe on Pinterest and I was a little bit skeptical about using Greek yogurt in tuna but honestly it’s you cannot taste it at all and that’s literally extra
Protein in your diet so why not add it in it makes it into a nice little tuna salad you mix it all together you can eat it with any kind of vegetable you like like celery Tomatoes carrots I use cucumbers since I already had some left
