Hi friends, welcome back! it’s been a few weeks since my last video, I would like to post more often, but life has been busy and making youtube videos takes a lot of time, specially editing… I do wish I had more time to focus on creating videos because I really love doing this

Hopefully one day soon, fingers crossed! I’ve also been working on the Q&A video… it’s taken a little longer than expected because I’ve been gathering lots of pictures to share with you from baby pics, to wedding photos to travels, etc that video is coming right after this one!

We’ve had a few snowy days lately, but overall, it hasn’t been a super cold winter I’ve had this recipe saved on pinterest (recipe linked below) and I noticed I had all the ingredients at home, so decided to make it 10/10 would recommend! Maya’s birthday toy is missing a limb and the tail

But I’m genuinely surprised it has lasted this long! they normally don’t make it past a couple of hours hehe This snowy day calls for snuggling in bed watching a good movie or a favorite series ‘Sex and The City’ has always been a favorite

I do have to say that the sequel ‘And Just Like That’ was a disappointment for me at first I was very excited when I heard that there would be a sequel after so many years but after watching it, I almost wish they didn’t do it to be honest…

I know a lot of people feel the same way check out the squirrel stretching out it’s coming down hard I do have to finish some work complete 2 evaluations and document on a few session notes I’m the biggest procrastinator I’ve ever met

I’ve always been this way and I don’t think I will be able to change I can’t wait to get back to my balcony gardening this spring! I’m up to date with my work documentation now so I have some time to play with clay! it hasn’t stopped snowing…

I couldn’t go to work today, so I will have to make up the visits throughout the rest of the week I’m using this red clay for the first time I’m still learning about different types of clay, and what I like versus what I don’t

I want to make a flower-shaped small dish and a vase but I don’t have a specific shape in mind for the vase so we’ll see what we end up with… Can you believe it’s already February? January typically feels like it drags…. but not this year….

This year it felt like a regular month, compared to other years when it feels like a really long month but February….. it’s flying by! and it’s a good reminder to not take the time we have today for granted

Anna Quindlen once said: “do one thing every day that brings you closer to where you want to be” this quote has been my motto lately and I’ve recently learned the importance of congruence when it comes to achieving things

There needs to be congruence between what you want/wish for, what you think, and what you do… it’s not enough to wish for something, even if you wish with all of your heart you need to also think and plan how to get to that place or achieve that goal

But just wanting it and having a plan on how to achieve it is not enough you also need to take action on the other hand, just taking action without your heart and mind being truly in it does not guarantee success either now, when you align your desires and thoughts with intentional actions

And consistency, of course I promise you that you will get to where you want to be… and you will be happy throughout the process just sharing a little reflection with you that has been helping me alright, it ended up looking like either a vase / jug / pitcher

Either way I can’t wait to fire it and glaze it… on to the small flower-shaped dish… this shouldn’t take too long doing ceramics has been such a therapeutic hobby I find that it has really helped with my anxiety, which has been off the charts lately

The sun is setting, let’s get started on dinner… we’re having black rice, with tofu and veggies I’ve been trying to eat healthier lately, and be more active but I have to confess it’s very difficult for me I think I’m addicted to sugar, sadly and I never feel that I have energy to workout

Not to mention I am the heaviest I’ve ever been, specially considering my height (I’m very short) I will show you my wedding and travels photos in my next video (Q&A) and you will see what I’m talking about… don’t worry, I don’t hate my body or anything like that

I’ve clearly been okay with the way it looks because I’ve had no motivation to change it but it’s not about what I look like, it’s about how I feel always tired, no energy… always craving sweets I need to make some changes in the way I’ve been treating my body

Eat more foods that nourish it and give me energy, instead of food that has me crash 30 mins after eating it interesting fact about black rice: it is known as ‘forbidden rice’ it has a long history and was once considered a luxury food in ancient China

It was reserved only for the emperors due to its alleged health benefits (hence the name forbidden rice) it’s rich in various nutrients, including iron, vitamin E, antioxidants and fiber the distinctive dark color of black rice comes from anthocyanins anthocyanins have antioxidant properties that may help protect cell damage

We’re back home and having salmon for dinner it will be a garlic, lemon and honey glazed salmon this is a recipe I’ve made before, attempting to recreate a dish from a local restaurant we’re ready to enjoy this delicious meal thank you for watching until the very end, I really appreciate you!
