Question #1:
How do you fight cravings?
I eat more food that is full of fiber and the key nutrients that keep you feeling full, for longer periods of time. When you eat food that is void of all nutrition, like the white flour and sugar, it throws your blood sugar levels all over the place. These foods also do not fill you up. We call these empty calories.
When I first got started my Live Lean journey, I did count calories. I believe it’s very important for people to understand the value of a calorie, as well as where your calories are coming from.
Since I spent time counting calories, now I don’t need to count calories anymore, because I know the energy that I require and I know how to burn it off.
When I have a late night snack craving, I eat a tbsp of almond butter and a hot green tea. The almond butter is very satiating and delicious and the green tea makes me feel calm and satiated.
Question #2:
What are my thoughts on intermittent fasting?
Intermittent fasting is just a tool. Whether it’s eating 6 small meals a day, or fasting, at theend of the day it’s about calories in and then burning those calories off.
There’s the 16:8 intermittent fasting approach:
– You fast by not eating from 8pm to 12pm the next day
– You feed yourself food from 12pm-8pm
One of the big ideas behind intermittent fasting is that it can bring your glucose levels back in line.
If you have a lifestyle, where you’re always on the go, intermittent fasting may work for you, especially since eating 6 meals a day probably doesn’t work for your busy lifestyle.
Question #3:
Should you eat tofu?
Tofu is a highly refined food, meaning it’s processed in a manufacturing facility, not out of the ground. Tofu is not your best source of protein as there are concerns over its estrogenic properties, meaning it may throw off your hormonal balance of estrogen to testosterone.
Bottom line, I don’t like the taste of tofu. I also prefer to stick to whole foods. If you like eating tofu, just try to eat in moderation. But if you don’t like it or if you haven’t tried it, don’t bother with it.
Question #4:
Is resveratrol a worthwhile supplement?
Resveratrol is an antioxidant that can help fight the oxidative stress that occurs in your body. If you add more antioxidants into your diet via food, you can get resveratrol naturally from grapes, as it’s in the grape skin. Personally, I would say don’t waste your money on it.
Question #5:
Ideas for healthy on the go snacks?

Question #6:
What is the best sub at Subway?
