Zesty Honey-Glazed Chicken Breasts
Marinade
Ingredients:
* 3/4 cup avocado oil or olive oil
* Juice of 1 1/2 lemons
* 1 tablespoon minced garlic
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon oregano
* 1 teaspoon black pepper
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1 teaspoon onion powder
* 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
* 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
* 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix all the marinade ingredients until well combined.
2. Wash and dry 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts.
3. Place the chicken in a ziplock bag.
4. Pour the marinade into the bag, ensuring the chicken is well-coated.
5. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
Cooking:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
2. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket.
3. Bake or air fry for 20 minutes, turning halfway through.
Honey Glaze
Ingredients:
* 1/4 cup BBQ sauce or ketchup
* 3/4 cup honey
* 3 tablespoons soy sauce
* 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
* 1 tablespoon mustard
* Optional: additional spices to taste
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, combine all the glaze ingredients.
2. Simmer on the stove for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
3. When the chicken is about 90% cooked, brush some of the glaze over the chicken.
4. Reserve the remaining glaze for serving.
