Here’s a simple and healthy Daliya (Broken Wheat Porridge) Recipe, perfect for breakfast or a light meal. You can make it either savory or sweet—

Ingredients:

1 cup daliya (broken wheat)

1 small onion, chopped

1/2 tsp garlic and ginger, chopped

1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrot, beetroot, potatoes, etc.)

1/2 tsp mustard seeds

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1/4 tsp turmeric powder ,chilli powder and (meat masala for extra flavour)

.1/2 tsp Schezwan chutney ( optional)

. pinch of oregano

.1 tbsp tomato ketchup

Salt to taste

2–3 cups water

1 tbsp oil or ghee

Fresh coriander for garnish

Method:
.Heat oil/ghee in a cooking pan .Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.

Add chopped garlic, ginger,onions, sauté till translucent.

Add mixed vegetables and sauté for a minute. Add Schezwan chutney

Add water and when it boils and then add Daliya (adjust based on desired consistency).

cook for 2–3 minutes

. Add tomato ketchup

. Garnish it with coriander leaves and add a pinch of oregano for extra flavour and serve hot.
