Sea Grapes (Lato) and Cucumber (Pepino) mixed with native vinegar, and other spices. All for a budget friendly recipe.
Umibudo is the Japanese word for “Sea Grapes” – a kind of edible seaweed that has little bubbles growing on its stems. Thus the serving looks like a small, green cluster of grapes. The bubbles break easily on the tongue releasing a slightly salty taste of southern sea freshness.
