This is a healthy breakfast usually prepared in South India.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup rice
1/2 cup yellow moong dal
2 cups of water
2 tbls oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
2 red chillies
2 green chillies
1 cm ginger
Some cashewnuts
2 pinches asafoetida
Some curry leaves
1/2 tsp pepper roughly crushed
1 tsp salt or as you require
1 tbls of ghee
1/2 cup milk
