Tried recreating the famous Little Hearts biscuits at home using simple ingredients. Though it may not be exactly like the store version, this homemade version is tasty, easy to make and made with better.

These cute heart-shaped biscuits are perfect as a tea time snack or kids snack. Made with wheat flour and simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

1 cup wheat flour (120 g)
¼ cup powdered mishri (50 g)
3 tbsp butter or ghee (45 g)
2 tbsp milk (30 ml)
¼ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla essence (optional)
Pinch of salt

Procedure

Step 1 – Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, cream together powdered jaggery/sugar and soft butter or ghee.
Add wheat flour, baking soda, vanilla essence and a pinch of salt.
Slowly add milk and make a soft non-sticky dough.

Step 2 – Shape the Biscuits

Roll the dough thin for crisp biscuits.
Use a heart cutter or bottle cap to cut shapes.

Baking Methods

Oven Method

Preheat oven to 170°C for 10 minutes.
Place biscuits on a baking tray with parchment paper.
Bake at 170°C for 12–15 minutes.
Cool completely to become crispy.

Air Fryer Method

Preheat air fryer at 160°C for 5 minutes.
Place biscuits in air fryer basket with space between them.
Air fry at 160°C for 8–10 minutes.
Cool completely for crisp texture.

Kadai Method

Take a thick kadai and place a stand or salt layer inside.
Cover and preheat on medium flame for 10 minutes.
Place biscuits on a plate or tray inside the kadai.
Cover and cook on low flame for 12–15 minutes.
Cool completely before serving.
