This is a pita bread pizza. I come up with this recipe idea during our home renovation, and it turned out to be healthy and delicious!
Pita Bread Pizzas
Ingredients:
– 4 Pita Breads (I Prefer Whole Wheat)
– ½ – 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled, deveined, & rinsed
(can substitute with chicken, sausage, ground meat, etc)
– ½ Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
– ¼ Cup Red Onion, Thinly Sliced
– 1 Bunch Fresh Basil, Chopped
– ¼ Cup Bell Peppers, Sliced
– ¼ Cup Cherry Tomatoes, Sliced
– ¼ Cup Black Olives, Sliced
– ¼ Cup Organic Mozzarella Cheese, Grated
– ¼ Cup Feta Cheese, Crumbled
– 3 Tablespoons Mild Hatch Green Chile Sauce
– Salt & Black Pepper
Seasonings:
– 1/8 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
– 1/8 Teaspoon Dried Cumin
– 1/8 Teaspoon Salt & 1/8 Teaspoon Black Pepper
– Pinch Of Paprika, Optional
– 1 Large Clove of Fresh Garlic, Minced
– ½ Teaspoon Fresh Cilantro, Minced
