This is how to make one of my all-time favorite Lebanese breakfasts: a Lebneh Sandwich.
Ingredients:
– Seeded Roll
– Lebneh
– Cucumber
– Tomato
– Mint Leaves
– Olives
– Olive Oil
– Za’atar
– Salt
Slice the roll in half, add a healthy amount of olive oil, and allow the bread to soak it up. Spread a layer of Lebneh on the bottom half and sprinkle with a little salt.
Thinly slice cucumber and tomato and layer them on the lebneh. Top with fresh mint leaves and your favorite olives.
Finish with a sprinkle of Za’atar and some more olive oil before serving.
This really is the ultimate on-the-go breakfast sandwich, especially when you want something fresh and flavorful.
