Chicken Hummus with Homemade Pita Bread & Healthy Salad | Easy Mediterranean Recipe
Looking for a healthy, protein-packed meal that’s full of flavor? In this video, I’ll show you how to make soft homemade pita bread, spicy chicken, creamy hummus, and a fresh healthy salad—all from scratch! This delicious Mediterranean-inspired platter is perfect for lunch, dinner, or meal prep.
🥙 Homemade Pita Bread
Ingredients:
* 3 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
* 1 tsp dry yeast
* 1 tbsp sugar
* 1 tsp salt
* 2 tbsp oil
* Warm water (as needed)
Method:
Mix all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 1 hour. Divide into equal portions, roll into circles, and cook on a hot pan until the pita puffs up and is lightly golden.
🍗 Spicy Chicken
Ingredients:
* 500 g chicken
* 2 tbsp vinegar
* 2 tbsp red chilli powder
* 1 tbsp salt
* 2 tbsp black pepper powder
* 1 tsp chilli flakes
* 1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
* 2 butter cubes
Method:
Marinate the chicken with vinegar for 5 minutes. Add all the remaining ingredients, mix well, and cook for 20 minutes until the chicken is tender and slightly dry.
🥗 Healthy Fresh Salad
* Chopped tomatoes
* Chopped onions
* Chopped cucumber
* Chopped avocado
* Chopped raw mango
* Fresh coriander
* Lemon juice
* Green olives
* Olive oil
Mix everything together and your refreshing salad is ready!
🧆 Creamy Hummus
Ingredients:
* Overnight soaked & boiled Kabuli chana (chickpeas)
* 1 tsp sesame seeds
* 5–6 garlic cloves
* Salt to taste
* Olive oil
* ½ cup reserved chickpea water
Method:
Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Add more chickpea water if needed for the perfect consistency.
✨ Serve the hummus topped with olive oil, olives, spicy chicken, fresh salad, and warm homemade pita bread. Enjoy!
