Pav Bhaji Recipe (serves 2)

Ingredients

Pav
2 medium size potatoes
2 medium sized onions
2-3 tomatoes
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste (optional)
1 small bowl of peas
1 capsicum (optional)
1 beetroot (optional)
Salt to taste
Pav Bhaji Masala 2 tsp
Red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric 1/2 tsp

Recipe
Boil the potatoes and mash them
Add oil in a pan
to this add finely chopped onions
Saute them till they turn golden brown
To this add the grated beetroot and the pureed tomatoes and the ginger garlic paste
Add salt to taste
Once the Tomatoes release the oil now add the desired veggies
Add all the spices, turmeric, red chilly powder and the pav bhaji masala
Give it a good mix and add 2 1/2 cups of water
Let it boil and cover the pan with a lid for 8-10 minutes
Check the peas whether they are cooked, if not cover the pan for another 3-4 minutes
Once the peas and all the veggies are cooked add the boiled and mashed Potatoes
let them cook for 2-3 minutes till the bhaji thickens
Finally add some diced paneer and chopped coriander..
Voila the Bhaji is ready

For the Pav toast them on a grilled pan using using some ghee or butter

You can serve the bhaji as is or add some butter that is optional
