This recipe is for the babies who are 7 months and older. Please make sure that you have fed your baby the ingredients used in the recipe, separately before and your baby isn’t allergic to them.
INGREDIENTS:
3 medium sized beets
2 medium sized carrots
2 medium sized tomatoes
1 medium sized onion
1/2 inch ginger
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 teaspoon olive oil or oil of your choice
Salt to taste (add less or you can skip adding as babies’ kidneys are still developing and they are unable to cope it )
METHOD:
Chop the vegetables in cubes, roughly chop onions.
Heat a pressure cooker on medium and add oil.
Add cumin seeds and onions. Fry till it becomes golden brown in color.
Add grated ginger.
Add beets and fry for few seconds before adding carrots and tomatoes.
Fry some more.
Add water just enough to submerge the vegetables.
Close the lid and cook till 3-4 whistles.
Cool completely and blend smooth.
Healthy and easy “Beet & Carrot Soup” is ready !!
Warm slightly before serving to your baby. It can be enjoyed by the whole family. Just add a dash of black pepper and all purpose seasoning and you have a yummy and filling soup for the grown ups.
