Lauki Rava Roti – Healthy Breakfast Recipe | Easy Breakfast Recipe | No Soda Instant Recipe
In this video, I am sharing one of the healthy breakfast recipes. And used rava/sooji and lauki. Its really easy to make and it doesn’t require any fermentation. It can be made in a hurry in the morning within half an hour. Also this is perfect for kids lunch box. So be sure to give this recipe a try!
Bottle gourd belongs to the gourd family. It is a vegetable high on water and is a rich source of vitamin C, K and calcium. It helps in maintaining a healthy heart and brings down bad cholesterol levels. The juice is also beneficial for diabetic patients as it stabilizes the blood sugar level and maintains blood pressure. Bottle gourd is an extremely low-calorie vegetable, this makes bottle gourd the perfect weight loss vegetable! Rich in dietary fibre, bottle gourd is easy to digest and is helpful in curing constipation and even piles.
Parts of bottle gourd like skin and inner flesh are edible when they are young. And skin and flesh are removed when they grow up, only white part is using for cooking.
Ingredients:
Lauki/bottle gourd – 1/2 large, grated
Rava/upma rava – 1.5 cup or as required
Salt – 1tsp or to taste
Jeera/cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Onion – 1 medium, chopped
Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
Green chilli – 2 chopped
Ginger – 1tsp grated
Curry leaves – 2 sprig, chopped
Coriander leaves – 1/4 cup chopped
Oil for patting and roasting
Banana leaf/butter paper/aluminium foil for patting
