As a Kind reminder, the recipes shared in the video might not be exact precise measurements, as I really dont measure out ingredients when cooking my own meals and just always use and add whatever I have on hand. However, I have done my best to outline what I used. kindly use them as inspiration for your next meal ideas and make them work with whatever you might have.

Recipes Mentioned in the Video:

Boerewors Salad
Serves 1
Ingredients used:
• 1 boerewors sausage
• ¼ a cucumber
• 1 firm ripe tomato
• Generous handful of soft green lettuce
• 6-8 olives halved
• ½ an avocado
• 1 full tsp of balsamic vinegar
• Tiny Pinch of Salt
• Pepper to taste
• 1-2 tsp of olive oil

Groundnut Sauce:
Serves 2-3
• 1 tbsp. sunflower or other veg oil
• 2 very heaped tbsp. of groundnut powder
• ½ tsp of salt
• Freshly ground black pepper to taste
• 1 chicken cube
• ½ tsp of tomato paste
• Water I used about 500-700ml about 2 mug sizes.
Which is more about watching and adjusting the sauce to your preferred thickness.
Start with less water, then you can gradually add as you observe the sauce.

*Note: the sauce thickens as it continues to cook.
*Also note I used a very generous tbsp measurement for the groundnut powder if using leveled you might want to double the quantity.

Stir Fried Cabbage Chinese Style
Serves 3
Ingredients:
• 1 large spring onion (white and green part separate)
• ½ a fennel (thinly sliced)
• About 10 button mushrooms (sliced)
• 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
• 1 tsp ginger finely sliced or chopped
• 1 large carrot or 2 medium size (thinly sliced)
• ½ green hoho (capsicum) sliced
• ½ red hoho (capsicum) sliced or other colors
• ½ of a medium white cabbage ( shredded)
• 1-2 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• Handful of Fresh chopped dhania (cilantro)

*Use up to 5 or more spring onions if using the regular small sizes.*
Separate the green and white part, use the green part for garnishing or you can just cook with the whole spring onion… it’s a preference thing
