Today I am recreating take out and fast food meals at home for way less WW points/calories!! Today I am making Potbelly oreo shakes, chili’s quesadilla explosion salads, and steak & shake frisco melts!
oreo shake- 9 points (usually 37) 272 calories (usually 770 calories), 24g protein
1/2 to 3/4 cup fat free milk (or milk of choice)
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
5 mini oreos
1/2 scoop protein powder (this is the one I used: https://amzn.to/3Kq6WD5)
optional-ice cubes/frozen banana
quesadilla explosion salad- 12 points (usually 41) 596 calories (usually 1420 calories), 44g protein
chopped romaine lettuce for base
diced tomatoes
1/2 cup seasoned with elote seasoning (or corn salsa)
6 blue corn tortilla chips, crushed
1/2 serving RF shredded cheese
3 oz grilled chicken
1 tbsp cilantro avocado dressing
1 tbsp salsa ranch dressing
optional-fresh lime
quesadilla:
1 low carb tortillas
1 oz RF shredded cheese
mild taco bell sauce
frisco melt- 12 points (usually 34) 415 calories (usually 970 calories), 35g protein
2 slices sourdough bread
1 slice RF swiss cheese
1 slice RF colby cheese (or other cheese of choice)
2- 2 oz burgers made from 93% lean ground beef
sauce: (for 2 sandwiches)
1 tbsp lite mayo
1 tbsp ketchup
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
garlic salt
minced onion
ghee nonstick spray on the bread

well you I don’t even need a a straw yeah [Music] we hey everyone and welcome to my channel I’m Nikki I’m Adam and today’s video we have a copycat takeout food recipe video so these are always our favorite and we haven’t done one in so long but I’ve had these ideas in mind I’ve been wanting to make these things at home home and so we’re just finally doing it and I need to start doing more of these videos because having fast food was something that we used to do all the time before we started our weight loss Journey sometimes multiple times a day and when we started our weight loss Journey one of the best things that we did was make copycat meals at home and try to make the foods that we enjoyed eating from takeout and fast food places just at home with the ingredients that we have so today a did you pack it I think I might have but uh anyway the first thing we’re going to be starting with so we’re actually going to be having a shake before dinner because that’s just how cuz we’re adult and we know we want exactly so we’re going to be making a pot belly Oreo shake which if you guys don’t know pot belly sandwiches that’s actually we worked there together Adam helped me get the job there and that’s also where we met Trevor and we all worked there for a few years together and I became their manager so that was fun that was fun anyway though we used to make Oreo shakes all the time and we would always get the extra from making them like we would just pour them in a water cup which I don’t think you’re supposed to do that but we did it was so wasteful if not if you made too much but then people would purposely make too much sometimes not us but I’m just saying but anyway all that went into the shakes at pot belly were ice cream which honestly I should have gotten butter cookies for the straws I mess up think I didn’t even think about it but they’re like known for having a butter cookie on the straw that was like the one of the worst jobs nobody ever want to do that was put those on the straws anyway I’d always get stuck with it and I was really good at breaking cookies yeah yeah he would break so many but then you just pour him in a shake and it was really good exactly anyway though okay all that goes into the shake it is some ice cream just regular vanilla ice cream some milk but they use whole milk and then Oreos so we’re going to be making a lightened up version today and for all these recipes today I will have them typed out in the description I’m also going to have the Weight Watchers points comparing both the takeout actual item and then the item we’re making today and I’ll also give some calorie counts for those as well and maybe protein I think I have all the protein for them so anyway let’s get started with Oreo shake we’re going to make this first then after that we’re going to be making a quesadilla explosion salad from Chili’s which it sounds like it’d be low point it’s a salad but it’s actually one of the highest calorie items they have there it is really good but it is something that is very high in points and calories and we’ll get to that when we make it and then the last thing we’re going to be making is a Frisco Melt from Steak and Shake so another high calorie item from there but we’re going to be making a copycat version at home that’s lightened up let’s get started with the Oreo shakes so we’ve got some Ninja blender cups today what we’re going to be using is this Fairlife fat free milk which they also have a 2% version that you could use I think it’s 3 points for the serving we’re going to be using today we’re going to be using a onepoint serving of this one so we’re going to use the milk and I use 3/4 cup we’re going to do a half2 cup of this ice cream which honestly I’ve never had this before but I was just looking for a lower Point ice cream when I went to Fresh time and this is what I found so if you have any other options for an ice cream you could use that but I feel like I had this a long time ago honestly when I was younger we’re going to see how it is hopefully it’s good in here but we’re just going to use a/2 cup of it so that serving is three points on Weight Watchers then I’m going to make this a little higher in protein so another thing that you don’t have to do you could probably just add some ice cubes in instead of adding any protein powder but we’re going to add a half scoop of protein powder and this is the cake pop flavor from PE science we don’t have any others right now anything else we had was packed and I had just finished up the vanilla one so I think vanilla would probably work well or if they have like I was just going to say cookies and cream but today we’re going to use cake pop I think it’ll be kind of similar though it’s like that sweets Vibe and then we’re going to use some mini Oreos which what I was going to say about this cuz I feel like making an Oreo shake then you feel like you have to have Oreos in the house we got this because I’m going to be doing a couple of the recipes but you could also just get the individual bags of these and then use just like that portion if you are worried about like having a big box or container of Oreos or like a bag like this so we just got this because like I said we’re going to be using it for some other things but I just went ahead and track it and we’re going to be putting five cookies into each shake and the five cookies are four points so it’s nine points for this copycat pop pelly Oreo shake and the real shake from popell is usually 37 points so we’re going to do it for eight instead of 37 also for calories I just went ahead and track it this shake is going to be about 272 calories and 24 g of protein and the regular pot belly Shake is usually 770 calories and 15 g of protein the protein powder is obviously adding some extra protein but I feel like it’ll be worth it and it’ll work with this do you remember the order that we used to do things is it like scoop ice cre ice cream and then milk to a certain level and then Oreos okay which we’re just going to weigh the ice cream out if you want to grab the food skitt Okay so we’ve got the milk we’re going to go ahead and do 3/4 cup of that which if this is too liquidy if anything we can just add some ice cubes I’m hoping that these measurements will work out but we’ll see so this so our version of the shake is going to be probably equivalent to points of what our little water cup of that shake was true we’re going to go ahead and scoop the ice cream and I don’t want to do too much but we’re just scooping it yeah we’re going to do so how much 67 67s perfect wow you do that a lot oh this might close enough perfect then we’re going to add a half scoop of protein powder so we need 15 or 16 g of protein powder 19 I thought I dump more out 18 okay come on okay this first scoop is going to be 16 ready oh so close it was 18 so we’ve got our protein powder in there and now we’re just going to add the Oreos do you want to add ice cubes to start out or just hope that it’s enough you want to mix and then do ice cubes yeah I guess we’ll see one oops it fell apart 2 3 4 5 I guess you were going to make this and now I just kind of made it that’s fine here for you’re keeping me company I don’t know it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be that big but that’s what I’m saying we’ll we’ll add ice cubes if we want to I don’t know why I did this so we’re going to go ahead and blend it now really [Music] quick okay so it’s a little runny so we’re just going to add like one or two ice cubes and honestly I was thinking we could have added frozen banana cuz that always makes it a really good consistency um but we don’t want the banana taste today we’re just trying to go for the full Oreo so let’s see so yeah I personally like my shakes a little bit more on the liquidy side I like mine a little thicker yeah you normally do four ice cubes in your protein shakes I do five yeah that looks perfect though oh I guess I do need to pour it in another cup like this yeah I don’t know why you did that I don’t either okay so I poured mine into a glass and it is too much so I’m going to drink out of here first and then I’m going to drink that I got mine in here okay so like I said this is nine points on Weight Watchers usually the popell shake is 37 points so of course it’s not going to be exactly the the same but it’s a lightened up version at home that hopefully satisfies the craving and it looks like even more than what you would get that popular honestly oh yeah it’s a big it’s a big Shake yeah so honestly you could probably do less milk I probably overdid it with the milk you could probably do a half cup we’re going to have to try that again now which we’ll just have shakes again tomorrow which I’m totally fine with yeah but yeah I think we can go a little less on the milk so let’s see Cheers Cheers wow the Oreo flavor is really good it like the five Oreos was somehow enough even with like a low carb ice cream and fair life milk that’s pretty like spoton you get like a little bit of the cake pop it just adds a little bit more sweetness to it mhm I can’t stop drinking I Ching it it’s really good it’s really good now I’m going to go ahead and start making the stuff for the meal that we’re going to be having we’re going to drink our shakes while yeah hopefully we don’t lose our appetite I’m just kidding I’m so hungry I’m so ready for this I’m going to go ahead and get set up and I’ll start with the burgers so today I’m going to be using some 93% lean ground beef I’m going to be making some Smash burger patties I don’t know how smashed they’re going to be because I just have a little pan over here that I’m going to be using and I don’t have much room so I’ve made these one time before and they turned out really good but I’m going to be doing 2 oz patties and doing two on each Frisco melt that I make they use sourdough at Steak and Shake and that’s what I’m going to be using today so I have this sour dough from fresh time it’s two points for a slice or four points for two so I’m going to be making a sandwich with it and it’ll be four points that I use of the sourdough to get that buttery flavor cuz they put butter on it when they Grill it I’m going to use some of this ghee nonstick cooking spray and I’m just going to spray it in the pan that I use or maybe just directly onto the bread and that’s how I’m going to cook it up so like I said Each one is going to get two patties and with the meat I’m just going to be mixing in some seasoned salt to season it up a little bit and then for the cheese they usually do Swiss and American so I’m going to do one slice of this ultra thin sarento swiss cheese for one point and then I don’t have American but I have this reduced fat colby jack cheese so I’m also going to use a slice of that for two points so I’m pretty much just going to be layering the burgers with the cheese and then it has a sauce on it and I looked up what the sauce is and it sounds like it’s a little bit of like thousand island dressing with French dressing ketchup and wor to shower sauce so I don’t have the dressings with me but I’m going to be making my own sauce and hopefully it’s good I feel like it’ll be kind of similar to when I just make like an at home Thousand Island I’m just not going to add pickles like I usually do but I’m going to use some light mayo so I’m going to track that I’m going to use a little bit of ketchup and then just a little bit of this wor Shar sauce and then in that I’m also going to mix in some garlic salt and this is just garlic salt with parsley and then some minced onion as well so that’ll be the sauce that I use I’m just going to do a point of that on there like I said the bread is four points the ground beef is four points for the serving and then the two slices of cheese will be three points this Frisco melt will come out to 12 points on Weight Watchers the regular sandwich at Steak and Shake is usually 34 points so it’ll save a good amount of points the regular Frisco Melt from Steak and Shake is also usually 970 calories and this one that I’m making is going to be 415 calories so almost half the calories and this sandwich is going to have 35 g of protein which will make it super filling I’m going to go ahead and just get the burger started and then I’m going to wait to assemble the sandwiches till after I’ve done more for the quadia explosion salad which is just pretty much making the quesadilla I’m going to get these Burger started and then I’ll share what’s next [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so the best part about the quadia explosion salad from Chili’s is that it has a quesadilla with it at least that’s my favorite part about it so I’m going to be making a quesadilla to go on the side with the salad what I’m going to be doing to make this is using two of these tortillas these are the LA banderita carb counter tortillas they are two points for two of them one of them has 60 calories 13 carbs 12 G of fiber and it’s got 4 g of protein so each qu cyia is going to use two of these tortillas for two points then I’m going to use three points of this reduced fat colby jack cheese I like to use Taco Bell sauce on my quesadillas so I might drizzle a little bit of that in there but I’m just going to be baking kind of basic quesadillas with this so just some of this with some sauce then for the salad I’m going to just be chopping up some roma for the base so that’s the lettuce we’re going to be using it comes with a protein so we’re going to do some grilled chicken bites these are from Sam’s Club and we recently tried them and they are so good actually really like them and all I did was air fry them so for the serving of 3 oz it’s 2 points on Weight Watchers so we’re just going to be using a 3 oz serving and again I’m just going to heat it up in the air fryer usually the quad explosion has corn salsa on it but I’m not going to take the time to make that today although I do like to have fresh corn salsa that’s one of my favorite things we’re honestly kind of limited on the stuff that we have because we’re in the process of moving and we’re almost done and so even the bowls that I’m going to be using today aren’t the best bowls but we just need bigger ones for the salad so you’ll see what I mean but anyway any way I opened a can of corn and this is just zero points I’m going to be adding some of this everything but the alote seasoning to the corn just to give it a little bit of flavor and then I’m just going to put that directly onto the salad then it has tomatoes so I’m going to chop up some of these Tomatoes I don’t think it has lime juice but I got fresh limes and I’m just going to squeeze some on there because I feel like that just sounded really good I know that it has a cilantro lime dressing so I think that’s why I grabbed the limes because the dressing that I have is just a cilantro avocado from Bolt house and then I remember there being another dressing that they had and so I got the bolt house salsa Ranch and I’m just going to use a point of each of these which this one’s really good we’ve really been loving this one but I’m going to do a point or a tablespoon of each dressing on the salad so that’ll be the dressings that I use and then like I said a little lime juice and then it has tortilla strips which I don’t have but I do have these blue corn tortillas from Trader Joe’s and you can have six of them for one point so I’m just going to crush these up on top of the salad and this is going to be perfect cuz these are also really salty so that’s what I love about them but that’s everything that comes on there it also does have some cheese so I might just do like a one or two points serving of cheese sprinkled on top because we will have the cheese from the quesadilla but I did actually go ahead and track that so this entire salad will come out to 12 points total on Weight Watchers and usually the quity explosion from Chili’s is 41 points so that’s actually the highest point item today that I’m making a copycat version of but it’s 41 points for the salad and this this one’s going to be 12 and for the calories for that salad it is 1,420 and the one I’m making today is going to be 596 calories and it has 44 g of protein I’m super excited for this I’m hungry and I’m going to go ahead and start making the quesadillas and then just chopping the lettuce and stuff for the salads and assembling them so the salad will actually be really easy Once the quesia is done and like I said I’m just going to pop the chicken in the air fryer so once that’s done I’ll just cut it up and add add it to the top of the salad [Music] oh [Music] oh [Music] okay so the food is done I have my quesia explosion salad which this is giant I’m so excited for this and I feel like the two dressings are going to go really well together I also need to squeeze my lime on top of here but my favorite part about the kcd explosion and if you guys have followed me for a little you know I do not really eat salads like at all I honestly don’t ever eat salads but if I do I really do like Caesar salads and then salads like this where they have like the corn tomatoes cheese tortilla chips and then like I said the quesadilla is so good so I’m excited to eat this like I said the regular quity explosion from Chili’s is usually 41 points and this one came out to a total of 12 points and then my Frisco melt which I’m also very excited about it smells really good this at Steak and Shake is usually $34 four points for the sandwich and the one I made today came out to 12 points so I’m excited to eat this the cheese is all melty and I love how the ghee gets on this bread especially the sourdough so there’s that we already had our Oreo shakes which those were nine points on Weight Watchers and usually 37 so this is what I’m talking about when I say we like to make some copycat takeout meals at home just some of our favorites that we used to eat that were much higher in points that we still do enjoy from time to time in moderation but it’s nice to have these all the time honestly because even if they are a little bit higher in points we can work them in and they’re usually higher in protein they’re more filling and better portions and so that’s why
