Today’s recipe is a weight-loss-friendly oats tikki, rich in iron and potassium. This healthy snack is perfect for those watching their weight. I’ve combined a cup of oats with rock salt, one grated tomato, grated beetroot, three grated carrots, fresh coriander, green chili, homemade masala, and chili flakes for taste. Add salt as needed, mix well, then add three tablespoons of ragi flour and a cup of beaten curd. Mix everything thoroughly, then let it set for about 30 minutes for easier shaping into tikkis.
Form your tikkis, and let’s cook them in ghee instead of oil. Add a spoon of ghee to a heated pan, and cook on medium heat to ensure they’re cooked inside and golden outside. Avoid high heat, as it can burn the outside while leaving the inside raw. Once one side is done, flip them and cover for 5 minutes so they cook through. Look at how perfectly golden these tikkis are!
We’ll serve them with hot green chutney – crispy outside, soft inside, and absolutely delicious. Alongside the tikkis, let’s prepare a simple spinach soup. Clean the spinach well, boil for 5 minutes, then blend with coriander, salt, and two green chilies. For the tadka, heat a small amount of ghee, add curry leaves, mustard seeds, cumin, and a pinch of asafoetida for an earthy flavor. Pour this over the soup for extra taste.
Serve the spinach soup with your oats tikkis for a healthy, filling meal. If you enjoyed this recipe, please like, subscribe, and share, and stay tuned for my green tea recipe to enjoy after breakfast. Let me know in the comments if you tried it, and don’t forget to share your results!
