How to get kids to eat healthy snacks? This idea will have them looking forward to it! Bonus: you’ll only need a few items for this DIY. Your kid will love snacktime even more, and you just scored some parenting points! Learn more:
Surprise toys are all the rage, and the mylar pouch adds a touch of blind bag mystery. Super on trend! But first, be sure your child recognizes that the toy you pack is definitely not edible! Obviously, this DIY should be prepared for a child who can distinguish between snacks and toys. A familiar and favorite Shopkins might be instantly recognizable. A LEGO minifigure that they know and love stands out as a toy, too. These are just suggestions, but you know your child best. Please always keep safety in mind to decide if this activity is right for your child.
Now, if you’re ready to add some fun to snacktime, here’s what you need: Food-safe mylar foil pouches, healthy treats, a flat iron and of course, a toy or collectible. Simply open the mylar pouch and place nutritious snacks, like fruits and veggies, inside. Pop a surprise mini collectible into the pouch and close the pouch. Parents-only step – Seal it with a hot flat iron. The flat iron seals the mylar bag very quickly; four or five seconds will do.
Now, it’s ready to place in their lunch bag!
