Moong Dal & Besan Chilla
– loaded with veggies & paneer

If you’re DIABETIC & looking for a food which would not give you even a bit of blood sugar spike, then this paneer and vegetables loaded BESAN & MOONG DAL CHILLA is for you. This is high protein and its glycemic index is very low, makes it the perfect breakfast or you can have it in your dinner as well .

Ingredients
30 gm Besan
20 gm Moong Dal Flour
30 gm Grated carrots
30 gm mix bell peppers
40 gm paneer grated
Salt as taste + 1/2 tsp red chilli powder & 1/3 tsp turmeric powder
Add green chilli to avoid red chilli powder & 1 tsp grated GINGER will enhance the taste, I missed to add 🫣
1/2 cup water (add more if needed to make runny batter) **I just noticed I wrote watermelon in video 😂😂😂 sorry for that

Method :
1. In a mixing bowl, add chickpeas flour, and Moong Dal flour along with spices and water. Whisk once
2. Then, add grated carrots, finely chopped mix bell peppers, and grated paneer in it mix everything very well to make a runny batter.
3. I am using cast iron tawa, you can use non-stick pan too. Let the tawa get hot, flame off and pour batter on it, spread gently.
4. Now flame on medium, let Chilla get cook. You will see the upper layer would dry. That’s the point you flip it.
5. Flame medium high, let it cook for 2-3 min on other side. Flip again and apply ghee and flip again. Let it cook.
You will get two big sized Chilla with this batter. Pair with chutney of choice and enjoy your breakfast
