In this week’s slow living vlog, we cook whole food plant-based black bean enchiladas, sow green beans in the garden, read library books, and watch birds and flowers flourish; a complete simple life experience.
This is one of my favorite times of year. Bird migration is in full swing, the weather is perfect for tending the flower and vegetable gardens, and the lilac bush is in full, fragrant bloom. A new bird bath has arrived, and I have two library books to dive into, including a fresh retelling of The Great Gatsby.
We’re also having an honest chat about quitting social media, and how stepping away has sparked a deeper inward focus and a real hunger for in-person connection again.
In this video:
• Whole food plant-based enchiladas (black bean!)
• Sowing green beans in the vegetable garden
• Slow homemaking & simple routines
• Bird watching + new bird bath setup
• Lilac season & flower garden update
• Life without social media
