Feed your little ones with these easy recipe of the Focaccia bread!!! Please see the recipe below:
Ingredients:
400gm High grade plain flour
225ml water
8gm Dry Active yeast
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
80ml of Extra virgin olive oil
50gms of semolina or fine polenta for baking

Filling/Topping:
1 onion (sliced and caramelised)
50gm grated cheese of your choice
25gm chopped chives

Method:
In a glass bowl, mix flour, yeast, salt, sugar and water and mix. It will look like a sticky mass. Transfer into another clean bowl and drizzle some extra virgin olive oil. Fold it from outward to inward movement without kneeding much. Once it comes together as one single mass, cover with a damp cloth and leave to prove for 1hour. After one hour, drizzle more oil and add all the fillings saving some for later to be added as topping before putting in the oven. Fold outward to inward again to mix the ingredients thoroughly. Gently slide the mass onto the tray in which you want to bake making sure it’s lined well with semolina/polenta or just a drizzle of olive oil. With the help of your finger tips dab the dough gently. Add the topping and cover again to prove for one hour. After it’s proved nicely, bake at 200 deg Celsius for 15-20 mins. Baking time may vary depending on your oven time, so please keep checking without opening oven too often. Happy baking🤗
