This video shows preparation of traditional rayalaseema recipe — Bendakaya Pullakura(Traditional Okra curry).
1) Okra has vitamin A, B, C, Folic acid, Calcium and Potassium. It is low in calories and rich in dietary fiber. This fiber helps in digestion and feel full for long time. It also feeds and helps much needed good Bacteria in our gut, hence increases our immunity.
2) It reduces blood sugar level by decreasing insulin sensitivity and slows rate of sugar absorption in blood stream.
3) Pectin in Okra lowers LDL.
4) It is high in folic acid, which is good for Pregnant and helps in the brain development of growing kids.
5) Mucilage substance in Okra is good for the people suffering from joint pains, especially knee pains. It relieves from the joint pains.
Ingredients —
Okra — 250 grams
Tomato — 75 grams
Tamarind — small lime size
Green chillies — 8 to 10 pc
Turmeric powder — 1/4th Tsp
Tempering ingredients
Few curry leaves
2 red chillies
cumin seeds – 1 Tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 Tsp
Oil – 1 Tbsp
Garlic (crushed) – 5 to 6 cloves
