This is a healthy snack made with Dried Peas and some spices. It is one of the popular street food in India.
Ingredients – To Grind:
• Cinnamon Stick – small
• Cloves – 3
• Garlic – 4
• Ginger – an inch
• Fennel Seeds – ½ tsp
• Red Chilies – 2 or 3

Ingredients:
• Dried Peas – 2 cups
• Onion – 1
• Tomato – 1/2
• Shredded Carrots – 2 tbsp
• Chopped Mangoes – 4 tbsp
• Coriander Leaves – handful
• Oil – 2 tbsp
• Salt – to taste

Directions:
1. Grind the ingredients mentioned above to make the paste.
2. Soak dried peas for at least 6 hours. Pressure cook for 3 whistles or in Instant Pot for 5 mins
3. Once cooled, strain the water. (You can use this strained water for any curries or Rasam).
4. Heat oil in a kadai. Add onions and saute for 2 mins. Add tomatoes and saute for a min.
5. Add the cooked peas, grounded masala paste and salt. Saute them for 5 mins in low flame. You can sprinkle some water if needed.
6. Switch off the stove and garnish with mango, carrot, onions and cilantro.
