Oats Biscuits make a lovely tea time snack and nothing beats one that is freshly baked at home without any preservatives!!! They are healthy, crunchy and made with just 5 ingredients which are readily available in our kitchen pantry. More importantly these biscuits are free from eggs and maida which makes it an ideal snack for kids during evening time. Enjoy making these yummy biscuits at home during your quarantine and I am sure you cant stop with one 🙂
Ingredients:
Oats – 1 cup (Measure 1 cup and then grind into a fine powder)
Whole Wheat Flour – 6 tbspns
Brown/White Sugar – 1/4 (Measure 1/4 cup and then grind into a fine powder)
Room temperature Butter – 1/2 cup (I used salted)
Vanilla Extract – 1/2 tsp (Optional)
To Bake in Oven:
Preheat oven to 180°C or 350 F. It took exactly 19 mins for me bake. Please check after 18 mins. It may take anywhere from 18 to 20 mins.
To Bake in Cooker:
Preheat cooker for 15 mins on medium flame. Place the biscuits inside and close the cooker immediately. Flame should be kept on medium throughout. It may take anywhere from 13 to 15 mins.
Once you take them out, cool completely before serving. Store them in an air tight jar and they should be good for 2 weeks
