This Malai Kofta with a healthy twist tastes as delicious like any other. But it is much lower in fats and in calories.
The Koftas are not fried and no maida or cornflour goes into them. The gravy is silky smooth and rich without addition of any cream or malai.

Ingredients list:
For Kofta:
Boiled, grated potatoes- 1 cup
Grated cottage cheese -1 cup
Salt- 1 tsp
Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp
Flattened rice (poha)- 1/4 cup

For gravy:
Whole spices: Cardamoms (2), Cloves (4), cumin (1tsp), star anise (1), Cinnamon stick (1)
Onion, sliced- 1 large
Ginger, julienned- 1 inch
Garlic- 5/6 cloves
Green chillies- 2 or as per taste
Dry fruits of choice- almonds, cashews, Brazilian nuts (optional)- handful
Tomato, puréed- 1
Oil/ ghee- 1 tbs
Salt- as per taste
Milk- 3 cups
Sugar- 1/2 tsp (optional)
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Kasoori methi- 1 tbs
For garnishing- resins, kasoori methi, green coriander
