Ingredients for Kanda Batata Poha | Poha Recipe
POHA
ONION CHOPPED FINELY
POTATA SLICED THINLY
CURRY LEAVES
GREEN CHILLIES
PEANUTS FRIED
CUMIN SEEDS
MUSTARD SEEDS
ASAFOETIDA
TURMERIC POWDER
SUGAR
SALT
OIL

FOR GARNISHING
GRATED COCONUT
SEV
CORIANDER LEAVES
LEMON

Method :

1)In a large bowl soak poha till they turn soft and easy to break.Drain off the water from poha add salt,sugar,lemon juice,turmeric powder and coriander leaves.Mix everything gently.

2)In a pan, heat oil for tempering.Then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing and curry leaves.Let them splutter.

3)Saute onions till they change colour.Also saute chilli and ginger.

4)Add potato, salt and turmeric. saute for a minute.

5)Cover for 5 minutes and allow to cook potatoes on low flame.

6)Now add in soaked poha and roasted peanuts.Mix gently. cover and simmer for 2 minutes.

7)Switch off the stove.

Garnish wish coriander leaves and lemon juice,grated coconut and some sev.

Finally, serve kandha batata poha hot along with masala chai and enjoy.
