Easy Bread Upma Recipe | How to make South Indian Bread Upma | Healthy Breakfast Recipes | Deccan Flavors
Ingredients
1/2 loaf Bread, chopped
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard / rai / sasuve
½ tsp chana dal
½ tsp urad dal
2 dried red chili
1/2 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
1 onion sliced
3 green chilis, slit
Salt to taste (optional)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (optional)
2tbsp water
Method
In a kadai heat 2 tbsp oil and add 1 tsp mustard, ½ tsp urad dal, 1 dried red chili and 1/2 tsp jeera
sauté the mustard seeds splutter
add sliced onion and sauté well
also sauté green chilis
add turmeric and sauté for a minute
now add chopped bread
mix well and sauté for 2 mins
now sprinkle water
mix well
cover and cook for 2 mins
Bread upma is ready. Serve Hot
