Hey Everyone! In today’s video I will be showing you some super simple, one & done plant based meals for weight loss! These Starch Solution recipes have both your starch and non starchy veggies in one easy meal! Starch Solution recipes do not need to be complicated – infact, quite the opposite and today I am going to show you how to make 3 simple plant based meals for weight loss that you can make over and over again!
Both starch solution weight loss and optimal health is what I am trying to achieve by using john mcdougall plan as a guideline to my eating, called the starch solution. My starch solution meals are all wfpb, oil free and as simple as I can make them. Dr mcdougall, plantiful kiki and high carb hannah have all been part of my inspiration to start my own vegan weight loss and health journey and I hope I can be part of yours 🙂

Mom & Dad’s Anytime Hashbrowns
6 Potatoes
1 med onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp oregano (preferably ground)
1 tbsp dried basil
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp chili powder (or more if you want it spicier)
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
Water (enough to cover potatoes)
Optional : Top with sauerkraut and chopped fresh tomatoes
Sweet Orange Soup
1 med onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 med sweet potato
4-5 carrots
1 pepper or 3-4 mini peppers
Beans (canned or cooked) – add at the end of soup or just before eating
Container of broth and/or water (6 – 7 cups of water with broth or enough to generously cover veggies)
Cook for about 25-30 mins or until veggies are soft
Optional: Remove 2-3 cups of the soup, blend and return to pot
Add 1/2 cup of beans to bowl of soup just before eating
Enjoy!
My Easy Peasy One & Done Meal
Med onion (water saute)
2 large Kale leaves – remove from stems and finely chop
Pre-packaged veggies (cabbage, carrots, broccoli)
2 cups of brown and white rice (total)
1/2 cup black beans
